What is Your Alternative Vision for Heathrow – Pedibus Mobile Gallery – Friday 4th November

The government are costing a third runway at £17b at a time when we need to lessen pollution, support local economies and reconnect communities. We have been asking, what would you do instead with these resources?

We have been collecting peoples visions from Heathrow & beyond & will be displaying them on a mini pedal powered gallery (Pedi-bus) on a journey from central London to Heathrow.

You are invited to join the ride!

Meet on Friday 4th November, 12.30 for a 1pm departure.

Kennington Park, between the Cafe and ‘Bee Urban’ community garden, SE11 4BE.

From there we will cycle in a convoy of bikes and Pedibus through West London, aiming to arrive at Heathrow by dusk. There will be a stop offs along the way including 2-2:30pm at Parliment Square.
On Saturday 5th November the visions will be displayed for the Heathrow Villages community in the Harlington Church Hall, 12-2pm.

Community Harts meets regularly in the Heathrow Villages and every Thursday evening at the Southbank, to plan, make things and learn from each other.
Get in contact if you would like to get involved.

Currently, there are two predominant visions for the future of Heathrow – either the government decides this year that the airport is expanded, or the hotels, car parks and infrastructure serving the existing airport continues – both visions result in the destruction of homes, habitats and communities.
We want your input, skills and wisdom to create an alternative vision for our future.
